Ammunition Couture
Jeffrey Gonzales, Designer
Ammunition Couture is a design house specializing in the fabrication of original, one-of-a-kind latex garments; providing elevated designs in latex couture and a luxe line of accessories.
Jeffrey Gonzales, the owner of Ammunition Couture, had been working with latex as a hobby for the past several years before officially starting the custom design house in the fall of 2011. Most of the pieces created over the years were for charity event fashion shows such as Craft Punk 2010 benefiting OffCenter Community Arts Project and Sinful Solstice 2010 benefiting the UNM Focus Program for Children. Other collaborations include projects with local artist in The Art of Fashion in 2009, Superstition Show at Fort 105 Community Art Center 2001 and Flix on 66 Film Festival 2001 and 2002 and a number of other collaborations and editorial work in 2013 and 2014.
At current, Ammunition Couture’s focus is on providing an avant garde aesthetic. This is being done by creating texture and building upon the latex by means of incorporating not just latex, but traditional textiles such as silks, tulle and organza, or pairing latex with these textiles for a more modern ready to wear ensemble.
Ammunition Couture also provides a heavy rubber line of accessories for discerning clientele. Ammunition Couture also strives to provide quality and creativity in their unique garments by using the best materials in manufacturing their wearable art.
